Meet Our Director and Board

Allyson Bizer Knox, Executive Director

Allyson has over 25 years of experience working in non-profits organizations including: museum and marine education. She has traveled the country creating, implementing and developing programs at various outdoor adventure and environmental education centers, sailboats, aquariums, ropes courses and more. This includes the creation and development of several education programs across the Cape, southeastern Massachusetts as well as a nationally recognized Youth Empowerment Program for young women on board the Hudson River Sloop Clearwater. Her skills include management and supervision, curriculum and program development, community relationships, outreach education, community development and more. Allyson is a highly motivated self-starter with a vision to make the best use of community resources. Over the past six years she has rallied hundreds of people to support the mission and vision of Hoxie Center and continues to be the driving force to move the project forward.

Meredith Chase, Board President

Meredith is a long-time community volunteer and member of many civic groups, non-profit organizations including: the Buzzaards Bay Beautification Group, Aptucxet Garden Club, Bourne and Plymouth Garden Clubs, New England Regional Board of Garden Club of Massachusetts, as well as the former Chairman of the Town of Bourne’s Recycling Committee. She is an active volunteer at the Bourne Food Pantry. Her experience includes organizing events, fundraising and administration.

Tiffany Prout-Leitao, Board Member

Tiffany is the Owner and Artistic Director of the highly successful Center Stage Dance Academy in Plymouth and Sagamore Beach with 350 active students. She is also the founder of the Company and Outreach Team. Tiffany has been in dance education for over 20 years, has traveled the extensively both teaching and performing. She is an award winning choreographer with a vast array of experience with film production, live events, television and has traveled the world teaching and performing dance. Tiffany serves on the Baord of Directors of three non- profit organizations including Y.P.A.D. dedicated to protecting youth in dance. Her experience as a business owner, events coordinator and civic engagement adds to the level of professionalism on the Board of Directors.

Mary Burke, Board Member

Mary is Vice Predident of Academic and Administrative Affairs at Quincy College and Dean and Program Coordinator at the Plymouth Campus. Mary’s experience includes managing and developing all programs, oversight of 8 departments, management of a $4M budget, community collaboration, service as executive board member on three organizations, hiring faculty and much more.

Sarah Tribuzio, Board Member

Sarah is the Managing Director of Development for WCAI, The Cape and Islands NPR station. A native of Cape Cod, Sarah moved back home in 2009. She has worked in the non-profit sector for over 20 years. She began her development career in Chicago at Fourth Presbyterian Church, and served as director of development at Penikese Island School and Habitat for Humanity of Cape Cod. Her experience includes grant writing, annual giving, events, major gifts, and program development & implementation. Sarah is a graduate of Cape Cod Academy and Wheaton College and volunteers for several local organizations. She lives in Sagamore Beach, just a short walk from Hoxie Center with her husband and three children.  Sarah's children participate in the Hoxie Center STEAM program at Bournedale Elementary School.

John Brennan, Board Member

John brings eighteen years of financial experience with Merril Lynch, State Street Bank and US Bank.  He currently is in sales with Comcast in Plymouth.  John is also the director of music liturgy for St. John the Evangelist Parish in Pocasset.  John lives in Bourne.  He and his family have been very involved in the Bourne High School Drama Program.

Paul Rossi, Building Volunteer

Paul has over 45 years of experience in contracting and excavating business. Paul ran his own business for nearly 30 years; working with large commercial projects as well as residential properties. His experience includes working closely with engineers, architects, general contractors, sub-contractors, vendors, town officials and boards and people in general. Paul is currently retired and volunteers his time as building caretaker of Hoxie
